Plastic Free July ’18: Overnight Oats

This is not a fancy recipe post. I’m too disorganised to properly prepare/cook/plate food, so the best I can do right now is a little Instagram story montage.

They’re fun and easy to make, and I always get a ton of message replies that indicate people enjoying watching them, so I’m gonna keep sharing!

I try to be as real as possible, and the reality is lately I haven’t really cooked anything proper or amazing or delicious. But who needs proper, right?

One of my most reliable breakfasts is a humble jar of overnight oats. They’re quick, easy and delicious to make, and the best part is that they can be made COMPLETELY plastic free.

You can go to a bulk foods store like The Source and get an endless amount of ingredients either in your own containers/jars/bags, or in a little brown paper bag that they provide. It’s revolutionary and should be practiced everywhere….. in societies defense though, there are improvements happening every day, with a lot of supermarkets opening up their own bulk food sections.

Anyway, enough of that – here’s the little video of how I make this easy meal.

Enjoy, and let me know if you’ve made it before!
